Awesome cheeseburgers! Best around.

I drive by this place often and have always wanted to stop. My son and I pulled in about 10 minutes before they closed for the night. The waitress was still very welcoming and pleasant. The food was serveded amazingly fast and was delicious....and the banana pudding was yummy!!

Incredible food and service, takes a while to get your food but worth the wait.

Well, well ,well. Why haven't I been here. Shame on me. Had breakfast and lunch on the same day there and wanted to go back for dinner.

So, before I can get in the door good, one of the workers stops me to tell me they have a no cell phone policy. Ok, if you would have let me get in the door good, I am sure I would have saw one of your 5(yes, 5) signs on the wall saying this is your policy. Not exactly inviting to guests to be bombarded with such a sign posted everywhere. Then I order...food is done fast and pretty decent. Then, I go to ask for a cup of ranch...she hands me the cup of ranch and tells me only after I have touched it that it is 85 cents...seriously? When she sees I have no intention of paying that much, and she knows I have already touched it so she can’t take it back, she proceeds to tell me I can just take it...85 cents? Really? I don’t think so...what, is there gold in it? Needless to say, I most likely will not return. Your food may be great, but if your service stinks, and the atmosphere is not welcoming, I have no intention of dining with you

I was very pleased with the service and the food. I had a cheese burger and the meat was not over cooked and the tomato slices were garden fresh. No wonder Duke's has been around since 1951!

Went to eat here as we've heard it's the absolute best place around for a burger. Too bad we didn't get the chance to confirm. We didn't see a single handicap parking spot and definitely no spot that could handle a converted van. Unable to park since they were busy we were forced to leave.

The best around. There is a reason Guy Fieri has been here and Maxim magazine voted it "One of the best burgers in the U.S.A"

They were established in my birth year, but perhaps more telling is that my 7 yr old grandson said, "Gram, ( Grandma) that's the BEST hamburger I EVER ate"!

Great Food. My first job was there curb hopping at 14. The phone policy is a little bit over the top but you have to respect it as a business owner because it does get loud in there with all the chatting.

In town for the day and a friend recommended Duke's Grill. It's a quaint place with PHENOMENAL portion sizes. Definitely not disappointed! The onion rings are delicious!!!

The food was delicious. We enjoyed it very much.We drove about 60 miles to eat here. A friend told us about Duke's Grill, and he described it as a good place to eat. And he was so right.

Best burgers around! Tyler, your recent review is disheartening, I have to say. I have seen the policy posted in there for quite some time, but I do understand your predicament. I'm sorry that happened to you recently. I wouldn't give up on Duke's though -- the burgers really truly are the best ever!

I went by there todayto eat but they were closing early so I was given a menu I looked over the menu and one thing that really bothered me is just to get a cup of water they want to charge their customers . I have never been to a restaurant that charge their customers for water needless to say that will keep me away from going to this place to eat.

Duke’s is one of my absolute favorite places to eat. The service has always been amazing for my wife and I. The food comes out quick, the servers are attentive, and it is always super clean. The food is awesome too!

10/10 best burger in town bar none and I always get great service.

Duke's Grill has been operating in Monroe , NC since 1951 & they have been around that long because they consistently turn out great food . Duke's serves , breakfast , lunch , & is open in the evening hours now . They serve good , fresh , old fashioned burgers , hotdogs , chicken sandwich , BLT'S , club sandwich , BBQ , bologna , etc . They have a few plates like hamburger steak which is a favorite of mine , BBQ , chicken tenders , very good they come with fries , slaw , pickles , tomato , bread .Duke's has crispy fries , onion rings , to have with sandwiches or chips are available. No matter the meal you eat at Duke's ,it will be good . Once you have a burger your going to go back for more . Duke's Grill gets it right .

Food was good - the huge negative is - lettuce - tomato - etc cost for each you add to a sandwich - also if you just wanr tap water to drink that will cost another 45 cents.... No phones can be set to ring etc.. Too many rules and every little thing costing extra is a no go for us...

This is, without a doubt, the best burger in Union County, and the best I've personally had anywhere. Love the owner's policy of NO CELL PHONES. Dennis is definitely a grill master.
